Of course, there were always inserts defending the ideology of spontaneous evolutionism to explain not only life, but the entire functioning mechanism of the cosmos. The program was very didactic in explaining the universe and physics, leaving us amazed by universal mechanics. The crux of the matter is that Discovery, the BBC and the entire academic environment explain these wonders as being the work of chance, the irrational having created implacable laws of physics, chemistry, and biology. The problem of the origin of the universe and life is ideological.
