However, their qualitative ability to unite with the host bone has been debatable.＜/p＞ ＜p＞The author conceived the concept of ＜em＞＜strong＞enhanced viability＜/strong＞＜/em＞ of the non-vascularised fibular grafts in 1970 by their ＜strong＞‘immediate fixation’＜/strong＞ to the host bone.
