＜p＞A comparative reading between Greek Mythology and Circassian Mythology of Narts has not been done so far. This book has been intended to fill this gap in the field.＜/p＞ ＜p＞Among the Circassian intellectuals organized around Circassian Society of Solidarity (?erkes Teav?n Cemiyeti), founded in 1908 in Istanbul, a group was formed focusing on Mythology of Narts and Caucasian history. However, the outbreak of Balkan wars (1912-1913) and the World War I (1914-1918) affected negatively the studies of the Society. After the proclamation of the Turkish Republic, the association was closed and all its assets were confiscated. Along with the closure of Circassian Society of Solidarity, studies on mythology and history, as well as other subjects, came to an end. In terms of Circassian culture, the period from the proclamation of the Republic to 1950’s is a dead period.
